Thing 8: Collaborating, Connecting and Sharing. There were so many good choices here to try out, so many collaborative tools so little time! Well decided to play with Google Drive for my first choice. At the school I work we all have Google accounts, here we can utilize many Google Tools such as Google Calendar, Google Classroom, Google Drive, Google Docs, and much more. I have never had the opportunity to really explore these tools. Yes, I use the Google Mail account on a daily event, but let’s face it as a teacher librarian we do not have much free time to explore new tools. Cool Tools for Schools is giving me the opportunity to do so. I like using Google Docs, Drive , and Calendar. I like the collaborative experience on Google Docs for students and teachers. This will be a good tool to use with the 4-6 grade team that I am on to plan lessons and share resources. The other tool I decided to explore is SlideShare. At first I was very intrigued with this web tool and could not wait to create my own slideshow. I thought it would be easier to use, but I played around for quite some time before I was near the point of creating my own slide show, Prezi was much easier, but I will continue to explore this tool, I’m not giving up hope just yet!
