This is a great topic! So many good tools to use, it is almost hard to pick one! I have used several of these tools the past 4 years. Voicethread and Storybird have to be my all time favorites. Though I have used Animoto and Prezi with my students as well. Prezi is a great online tool for presenting information. My students used Prezi to present information about the Holocaust and animal research. It was a hit with the 6th graders. I have used Voicethread with 2-8th graders, they too loved this tool. Some students love to hear themselves talk, but better yet they love to be able to comment on each others work. It is a great feedback tool, very interactive.
For this blog I will focus on Storybird. I love this tool! What a great way to get students to want to write a story or poem. I have had students who hated to write jump in and create page after page on Storybird. It is even a great tool to use with special education students. I had students with a wide range of abilities use this tool, they all create stories on their own level. I love the graphics as well, there are so many themes to choose from.
Here is my story that I wrote on Storybird, it is called " A Dream of Mine."
